Hardwood
Laminate
Hand-Distressed by Artisans.
The term "distressed hardwood floors" refers to the process of deliberately distressing hardwood floor planks to achieve an antique look. Our trained artisans "read" each piece of wood to determine its individual personality, and then choose the right tools and techniques to fully bring out this character. Using more than 30 specialty wood making tools, Palmetto Road flooring craftsmen are highly skilled at adding natural-looking character to our hardwoods. This includes chatter marks, antique wear and tear to the edges and ends and worm holes to create the prefect antique-looking distressed hardwood flooring. No machines, no assembly lines! The difference is obvious! |
Engineered Hardwood
Engineered flooring is composed of seven cross-stacked layers which make it more resistant to humidity and moisture, unlike a strip of solid wood, which can bend or bow, as can happen with longer solid planks. Engineered hardwood is more flexible in application as well, allowing it to be installed on any grade level. This means it can be floated, glued down directly on a concrete slab, even nailed or stapled to a wood sub-floor in any room of any home. |
Laminate
There are three main laminate flooring benefits: cost, ease of installation, and durability. The ability to add a smart, sophisticated look to any room at a price far less than that of real wood is laminate’s biggest benefit. This flooring option is a low maintenance value that will last for years and look as impeccable tomorrow as it does today. Did you know that laminate flooring is approximately fifteen times stronger than hardwood flooring? High traffic areas won’t show their wear on laminate like they may on other flooring options. Laminate is exceptionally wear, stain, fade, burn, dent and scratch resistant. Eastern Laminate’s floating installation method “Linc-n-Loc,” makes DIY projects a snap. Easy to follow instructions promise a hassel-free flooring experience. |
